1st Grade

OK, time for a slightly personal post! My son started 1st Grade this week. I can’t even believe that he is old enough to start “big school”. I have always taken my kids portraits on their birthdays, but due to scheduling and traveling over the summer we hadn’t found the time to squeeze in the shoot. With the school year quickly approaching, I decided I would rather have a first day of school portrait. These photos will now live forever as a reminder of his first day of school. I can’t wait to take a photo of him on his last day of school and see how much he has grown and changed. (OK I can wait, like really I can wait!)

I shot these in my home studio with my EOS R using two Godox 400’s. One in a 2’ soft box and the other in a strip box over his shoulder.

And of course, Meow had to join in on the photoshoot.
